Winners will be selected at random and announced live at the Nestle Cooking with Carnation Milk event at the North End Demonstration Stage on Friday 10 September. Win £50 of Clas Ohlson vouchers in our Food Festival Recipe Competition
What does Croydon need? A dish that represents the local area!
Do you have an original dish that your friends and family love? Or could you be inspired to devise your own meal for this competition? We’re looking to find the best original recipe of the 2010 Croydon Food Festival, so if you think your special creation is worthy of being shared with the good people of Croydon, send it in to us! The best recipes will be published on the Food Festival website and the winner will get a superb £50 voucher to spend in Clas Ohlson.
We only ask the following:
- Your recipe should be able to feed 2 people for a modest £5.00
- It should be an original recipe, created by you, not copied from anywhere and not published previously.
- All ingredients should be easily sourced from the Croydon Town Centre area, so nothing calling for zebra milk, please!

Please include instructions on how to prepare your recipe, as well as a list of ingredients to purchase, complete with quantities.
Send your entry to marketing@croydontowncentre.com before 5pm on Monday 6 September together with your name. The winning recipe will be selected by our guest chef Phil Wells. The winner will be notified by email on Thursday 9 September.

- Competition open to UK residents
- Only one entry per person
- Closing date for competition is 8 September at 12.00pm
- Croydon BID competitions are not open to Croydon BID or Croydon EDC employees (or members of their immediate families). Any company involved in the competition or any creative agency, subsidiary, agents or members of their families or households are also not eligible to enter Croydon BID competitions
- In the event of any dispute regarding the rules, conduct, results and all other matters relating to a competition, the decision of Croydon BID will be final and no correspondence or discussion shall be entered into
- If you win a competition, we will notify you within the time stated
- The judges’ decision will be final, and no correspondence will be entered into
- The prize is non-negotiable
- You can find out who has won by sending a stamped addressed envelope, marked with the name of the competition to Croydon BID, AMP House, Dingwall Road, Croydon CR0 1YE after the closing date
- Incorrectly completed entries, or entries that breach any of the above terms, will be disqualified
- Croydon BID reserves the right to amend these rules at any time. Specific rules may apply to some competitions and we will publish the amended competition rules on our website
- No negotiations will be entered into, no cash alternative.
Clas Ohlson Voucher Competition Terms & Conditions
- Competition open to UK residents aged 16 or over
- Only one entry per person
- Anyone related to Croydon Economic Development Company or Croydon Business Improvement staff are not eligible to enter this competition.
- Recipes must only contain ingredients readily available in Croydon Town Centre.
- Recipes must be original and must not have been created by anyone other than the entrant.
- Recipes must not have been published previously in any medium.
- Recipes may be published on the Croydon Food Festival website.
- Your name and recipe may be used for publicity purposes.
- Competition opens on Monday 9 August 2010 and ends at 5pm on Monday 6 September.
- The winner will be announced on the website and notified by Thursday 9 September.
- The judges’ decision will be final, and no correspondence will be entered into.
