Food Festival Launch Day
Saturday 19 September - 11am to 4pm
The Waitrose stage launches Croydon Food Festival in the Town Centre with a day of family activities and free giveaways. Enjoy food samples from India Dining and entertainment from Bollywood dancers, Apsara Arts. Fun for all.

Don't miss Celebrity Chef Tony Tobin (as seen on BBC's 'Ready Steady Cook!') cooking up a storm in the Whitgift Kitchen Theatre on 4 October!
As part of the Croydon Food Festival programme, a live kitchen theatre will be set up in the Whitgift Centre, Whitgift Square to showcase the boroughs’ top restaurateurs and food outlets. Running from 1 – 4 October, a number of live cookery demonstrations will take place in the Centre each day, where shoppers will be able to experience and even taste the culinary skills of featuring restaurants, prepared by expert chefs. With the 30 minute demonstrations showcasing everything from basic cooking skills & tips to the finest cuisine the borough has to offer, the shows are bound to blow your taste buds! Shows start at 11am and run throughout the day.
Whitgift Taste Trail
The Whitgift Centres’ restaurants and food stores will be offering shoppers to chance to taste their food, completely FREE. From 1 – 4 October, Taste Trailers’ will be able to pick up an entry form from promotional staff throughout the Centre and visit a number of participating restaurants to try a little something for free. Upon tasting, they will have their taste trail card stamped by a member of staff where they can return it to the Visitor Information Point (opposite Starbucks) to be in with a chance of winning a £200 Whitgiftcard to spend anywhere in the Centre. Look out for Taste Trail cards throughout the Centre and at participating retailers to take part in the fun. The Taste Trail runs from 11am – 3pm each day.

Wednesday 30 September 2009, Employee VIP Evening at M&S Employees must produce their invitation to receive access to this event and free parking. Email festivals@croydonbusiness.com for details. This event is open to all Town Centre employees
Thursday 1– Friday 2 October, Crystal Palace Promotion. Crystal Palace Football Club will be in the Whitgift Centre to promote their corporate banqueting and booking facility for Christmas parties. Make sure you visit the stand on the mall to find out more details.
Superdrug Promotion - Superdrug Health is a new service designed to give you information and advice on many of your health related problems. Make sure you visit the Superdrug stand in the Centre or pop in store to find out more details.

Restaurant Safaris
Croydon Food Group are hosting a restaurant safari, ideal for business networking. Guests will enjoy a 3 course meal, with each course being at a different restaurant and a chance to meet a new person. (glass of wine and coffee included)
Safari dates are as follows:
22 September Purley – Zaal, Ban Thai & Buenos Aires Restaurant
23 September South Croydon – Fish & Grill, Le Cassoulet tbc
