Croydon Enterprise are collaborating with the Thornton Heath Business Partnership and Croydon Jubilee Rotary Club to bring the second year of the Thornton Heath Festival, celebrating the diversity on the area. Whilst celebrating this event there will be a focus of the diversity of food. From Polish cuisine to Thai, covering areas all over the world. There will also be entertainment from music, dancing, children’s rides and much more!

FREE fresh produce from Surrey Street Market to celebrate Croydon Food Festival 2009
Surrey Street Market has been serving the people of Croydon since back to the Roman times and proud of their charter given in 1276 and is still going strong providing everything from a scotch bonnet peppers to good old fashioned spuds.
Surrey Street Market and Croydon BID have teamed up with the Croydon Advertiser to offer every reader a free bag of produce every Friday and Saturday over the duration of the food festival running from 19th September to 4th October.

Don't miss local chef Phil Wells live in Surrey St
Philip wells is a local 39 year old futures broker turned chef. After working for many years in the city he reverted to his first love of cooking and trained at the westminster cooking school . He now spends his time travelling around the country working on demonstrations at food fairs and festivals he also works closely with celebrity chefs on Tv shows and recipe photos shoots.
Look out for Phil cooking special treats from the Urban Feast Cookbook in Surrey Street on Saturday 26th September. This day will be hosted by Joe Sullivan from Croydon College.
