The London Borough of Croydon has recently embarked on one of the most dynamic regeneration programmes in the UK with over £3.5 Billion of development investment already committed.

In order to celebrate these improvements, this year Croydon Business Improvement District (BID) is embarking on the organisation of a series of annual festivals and events to revitalise and unite the town. Croydon Food Festival is the second festival that is taking place this year and follows on from the success of Croydon Fashion Festival which took place in June 2008.

BID is a business-led initiative for Central Croydon. Businesses have been brought together to decide how to improve the environment for their employees, customers and clients. More than £5million will be invested into Croydon Town Centre over five years to improve the competitiveness of Croydon. The overall objective is to develop its position as a leading commercial and cultural centre in the South East.
